About the Job

Title: Compact Equipment Sales Representative 
Location: Napanee
Reporting to: The Sales Manager

Summary

As a Compact Equipment Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to our customers. You’ll be expected to meet and exceed personal sales objectives by pursuing walk-in and telephone/email customers and developing relationships with prospective customers through self-initiated outbound tactics.   
Your success will be tracked by submitting weekly reports to your manager. 
 

Previous equipment sales experience is necessary to apply. Travel is required.

Job Duties

  • Generate sales through walk-in and telephone customers, repeat customers, and sales leads
  • Prospect new business by phone and with site visits
  • Follow up on in-person and online sales leads from social media and the website
  • Meet with the Sales Manager weekly at a virtual coaching session and provide your leads and sales report
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license at all times
  • Use programs such as PipeDrive to track and report on prospects
  • Attend and host events (e.g., conferences, home and trade shows, open houses, etc.)
  • Contribute to marketing efforts (e.g., social media)
  • Complete sales agreements, and settle accounts with the Finance Manager
  • Arrange for equipment transportation between dealerships and customer locations
  • Achieve quarterly sales quotas
  • Ensure customers are introduced and reminded of our parts and service departments
  • Stay up-to-date on product information by reviewing manufacturer documents and attending product knowledge sessions
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
